Same  "Problem with printhead" message here.  Printhead is not dryed out or anything . Powering off the printer for a minute and powering back on does not fix it.  4 new ink cartridges do not fix it either.  The 4 LEDs on the front of the printer light up from left to right in a continuous pattern which also means problem with printhead according to the user guide.

The printer is 4 years old and was not used much.

I am actually surprised that your printer has lasted 4 years before you had a problem.

 

I wound up buying a new printer but the same model because I had just bought new ink cartridges just before my first printer of this model stopped working.

 

Ink costs far too much to not get any use out of 4 brand new cartridges. The only other option would have been to find another printer that uses the same ink cartridges.
