There are a few things to check - new form settings will not take effect until the printer is closed and then reopened.  Make sure to close any printer windows and reopen them.  I am also using a user with admin privileges, but the fact that it shows up in your forms list makes me think that does not matter.

The screen shots I showed were ones I recorded this morning as I installed the driver and created a new form, I am sure we will get this to work for you.

I do not know why the statement form does not show up in the printer's list.  The printer will only accept forms that are within the printer's capability - for example, none of the large format paper sizes will be accepted.  I am wondering if the driver is limited in how many forms it can handle in its list, I would suggest making the form name somewhere near the top.  What was the name you used for the forum?  If you have spaces or other special characters in the name you might try creating a new form with them removed.

Here are the paper sizes I see (when I scroll to the top of the list).  Are these the same you have?

Here is the bottom part of the list.  I notice this only has the first part of the list alphabetically, you might try picking a form name that starts with D that would show up in the either list.

Hello, I can see the 10x15cm and the last one is haguchi or however you spell it, is the one I see, I restarted the computer, when back into the create a form section and i saw all the forms I made, I made one that started with a D, I made D Statement, another Statement 1, that way using the statement settings, i didnt have to change anything, but the name, I made one 5.5x 8.5 and another another one, 10x111 so it would show up at the top, I saved them out, so when I restarted the computer, they all show up in the create a new form window, and the 10x111 size I saved is like 4th in the list and the others are all in place, the D one is in the middle and so on, but when I hit print, then go to advanced and choose my size, none of my new ones are there to choose from.

Again I have Win10 Pro 64bit, the 5530 envy is fully updated using the print and scan Dr.  it's my default printer, I tried this as default and the option of letting windows conrtol it, same results with both options, it's connected to the network, no hardwire.

I have to leave for the evening here very soon, so may not get to check back here until tomro if you reply back tonight.

thanks

What program are you printing from?

Did you set the default paper size to 5.5x8.8 from the Devices and Printers folder by selecting this in the Printing Preferences?  One way to do this is to right click on the Envy printer, select Printing Preferences, Paper/Quality, Advanced, select your form, OK, Apply, OK.  Some programs keep their own printing defaults and will need to be set separately.

Spoiler
I can go there to choose a default paper size, but in the paper quality menu when I bring it up, for sizes, none of the newly created ones I made are listed there, and neither is statement, i can only see all of these when I go to the create a new from screen, then go to the dropdown menu there, then I see the 4 forms I made and statement, but none show up any other place when I go to print.

I tried a couple of other programs, I've even set their pages by formatting them to 5.5 x 8.5 and trying to print that way, it won't work withe, no matter which program I sue to print with, the HP print screen still pops up and I still go to advanced and paper quality and again, none of my newly created forms show up there and neither does statement, I will be back at this around Noon or so est, trying to figure it all out, thanks again.

OK, I am downloading Libre Office 5.3.2 (Fresh version) and will try that.  In the meantime, you might try printing a test page from Notepad.  Does Notepad (or Wordpad) properly show the 5.5x8.5 option for you?  It works for me here in Notepad.

Hello, it seems the program has nothing to do with what shows up in paper size, I tried notepad, I have several other text progs and all show the same list, when I click print in any text program,  i usually go into file in that program, click print and the window opens with the printer icon in the upper left corner, it says, general, then below that, select printer and it lists my printers, it lists 3 in this order

Fax

HP660459(HP ENVY 5530 Series)

Microsoft print to PDF

It also below that has Preferences, then at the bottom i can hit print or cancel, I then go to preferences, it brings up the printing preferences window, at the lower bottom, I click Advanced, it brings up the Paper/output paper size window.

I click the drop down menu to choose my paper size, Letter is always the default, and no matter the program I choose to print with, this is the same process and when I get to the paper size window, it's always the same choices, and none of my newly created fomrs are there and neither is Statement just the same list for every program.

When I go to Print Server properties to the create a new form screen, when that window opens, at the top it says print server properties, below that it has a computer icon, and says Forms on  DESTOP- and then my desktop number then

I also added another printer to see what shows up, it's the same list of 32 or so papesizes.

Just trying to give you all the info I can and what I see to try to help you help me.

Hello Bob, finally success, I had previously downloaded and installed the scan and print dr. it updated my printer and said it was fully updated, but I still went to the HP Drivers page and downloaded the All in one Driver set and then installed it, I did not remove or delete the old printer, I clicked on the exe. file once it downloaded and followed the install directions, and went to print and I've tried several text programs and in the paper qaulity paper size screen when I click on advanced, all have list all 4 of the new form sizes I created, all 4 were 5.5 x 8.5 I just gave them different names, it still does not show the Statement size or any of the long list of other sizes that I saw in the create new form screen, but that does not matter now.

Thanks for all your help, and if this ever comes up again, have them give this a try.

Take care!
