I have the same issue, the wizard completed but somehow networking was turned off and there is no option toi re-enable. Reseting pinter to factory settings is of no help....A network printer without networking is useless.
Explain how to get this POS reset before I go toss it through the store frickin window!!!!!!!

Hi @brewbum,
I reviewed the post comprehensively. Great diagnosis and fabulous analysis of the issue before posting. 🙂 Kudos to you on that score. 🙂 I understand that you have issues with the printer to hook it up to the wireless network.
Regarding falling down the rabbit hole, we will ensure that the situation is corrected by pulling rabbits out of the hat. 🙂
Please ensure that you keep checking your forum private messages as the semi full reset for the printer will be sent to you as a private message.
Once you perform the semi-full reset, then setup the printer on the network by visiting this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8720-all-in-one-printer-series/7902032/document... this is for windows.
Link 2 for mac: http://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8720-all-in-one-printer-series/7902032/document...
Please setup the printer based on the operating system of the computer.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂 Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. 🙂
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. 🙂

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I Understand you are in need of the reset procedure and since you seem like you've done everything else that could have possibly resolved the issue, I will cut to the chase and provide the details though we don't usually do this sort of thing as Reset is the last resort:
Also, Since the reset information is quite a sensitive information, I've sent a Private message to you with the details.
Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,
Next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Please reply back on the public post as this Private message box is not monitored.
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

Riddle_Decipher can you send me that reset procedure because I have fallen down the same rabbit hole and I can't get the printer to work on my network either, even have a hard time getting it to work on usb direct which is really weird and none of the reset procedures have worked that I have tried.
Thanks

Hi! @Frankie813, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you need to know how to perform a factory reset on your printer.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Please try the steps recommended below to perform a factory reset on your printer.
1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the
Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
2. Touch Printer Maintenance.
3. Touch Restore.
4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults.
A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.
5. Touch Restore.
Refer the printer user guide to know more information about performing a factory reset on your printer.
Note: Refer page 146 for more information.
Hope this helps!
Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂
