Hi @janmoore

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you are unable to print. I would like to help.

So that I can assist you better I have a few questions.

Is the printer connected to the computer over a wireless network or via USB cable?

Have you ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor?  (If not, give it a run)

Are you getting a specific error message?

I had a HP Envy 4500 printer for a couple of years and it worked perfectly.  All of a sudden, my printer stopped printing from my computer.  So thinking it was the printer, I ordered a new Envy 4516 and have done everything it says to do, even having "outdated" drivers installed on my computer at $29.99, but I can not get the new printer to print from the computer either.  I am so frustrated and don't know what to do next.  Can anyone help??  I have Windows 10 downloaded and have a HP Pavilion g series laptop computer.

Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for your help.  I finally got the correct USB cable and plugged it in, right at first, it wasn't working so I got on "what I thought was the HP site" and the young man started acting like he was trying to help me, but then finally said I can't fix it, but if you pay $300 for a lifetime service agreement, that will take care of all your problems.  The # is 888-211-1815.  I told him I could not afford another penny and finally hung up.  I then decided to try again to follow the instructions from the CD and low and behold, it is printing from the computer command.  God Bless You and Thank You So Much.

Glad to hear that it's working. It's too bad that there are third party companies that try to charge people for stuff they can't fix.
