Hi, I recently changed my ISP and therefore had to reconfigure my Wifi connection on my Inkjet. I did that without issue. But now when I send a print job via email to HP's ePrint I get a confirmation that the job was received but it never prints on my Inkjet. I used to be able to login to the hpoconnected.com website and see any stuck or failed jobs. Now I don;t see any jobs on the website. I'm focused on the change of ISP but fankly I don't think the issue is there. The Inkjet wizard connects to the new ISP just fine. Why am I nit seeing these jobs in the hpconnected website even though the service sent me a confirmation email? At this stage I'm almost buying a new Epson printer!!! - Thanks, Greg

Hi! @gmeagher, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand after changing the internet service provided you have issues connecting your printer and MAC to the new network.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Was the router replaced recently?

Is the printer and the MAC connected to the same wireless network?

Are you able to connect other devices to the same network?

Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.

Try disabling the firewall and antivirus if you have it on your MAC and check if it helps.

If you are using a wireless router, check your router’s documentation or support site to make sure it meets the following requirements:

Check the router band: Many routers can operate in both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequency bands, but not all HP printers support both bands. Make sure the 2.4 GHz router band is enabled and broadcasting. If the router broadcasts separate network names (SSIDs) for each band, connect the printer to the 2.4 GHz band SSID.
Bonjour support: HP recommends routers that support Bonjour, Apple's network discovery software. Connecting with Bonjour is the best way to find the printer and support wireless printing.

Please try few steps recommended below.

Restart the computer, printer, and router to resolve any network or communication error states.
   NOTE:
The following steps temporarily disconnect network and Internet connections, and require restarting your computer. Complete any tasks or downloads in progress before continuing.
Disconnect the power cord from the router.
Turn off the printer.
Close all running programs on your computer, including the HP software installation window, then shut down the computer.
Reconnect the power cord to the router, then wait for the Internet activity light to display a normal connected status.
Turn on the printer.
Turn on the computer.

Try the steps recommended below.

Most printers with a touch or text navigation control panel have a Wireless Setup Wizard tool available through the Setup, Network, or Wireless menu. Use the guided tool to select your network name and enter the password to connect the printer to your network.

If the network name (SSID) or password is hidden, manually type them on the printer to connect. Network names and passwords are case-sensitive.

  1. Gather the following items:

    • Network name (SSID)

    • Network security password (WEP key or WPA passphrase)

    • A computer that is connected to your wireless network

  2. Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables from the printer.

  3. On the printer control panel, select the Setup, Network, or Wireless menu.

  4. Select Wireless Setup Wizard, then follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your network.

Try restoring the network settings to default and connect the printer to the network using wireless setup wizard.

To reset the printer's network settings
1. Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore
Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the
network defaults have been restored.

Lastly, Run the Print Wireless Network Test

To print a Print Wireless Network Test page, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, touch
Network, and then select Print Wireless Network Test or Wireless Network Test. If
a problem is detected, the printed test report includes recommendations that might
help solve the problem.

I've tried these things and the print job is still nit reaching my printer. Question: why can't I see print attempts and error messages in the hpconnected.com website? I used to be able to login and see any error the system threw.

I still get a confirmation email following me sending a print request through email to "gregsprintjobs@hpeprint.com".

- Thanks, Greg

@gmeagher, Thanks for your prompt response and time.

I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.

As you mentioned you have eprint issues while printing from your printer.

Splendid analysis and remarkable patience shown. It is immensely appreciated.

To receive ePrint jobs, the printer must be on and connected to the Internet.

  1. Turn the printer off and on again to clear any existing problems.

  2. Print a test page from a device on the same local network. If a connection error displays or the printer is not found, there is a network connection issue. See the Troubleshoot the printer network connection section for more information.

  3. Confirm Web Services is enabled on the printer.

    • Printers with a touchscreen or LCD display: Touch the HP ePrint icon, and then touch Settings. Or navigate to the Web Services menu under Network Setup or Wireless Settings. The Web Services status displays with enable instructions.

    • Printers without a touchscreen or LCD display: Print a network configuration or self-test page to obtain the printer IP address, and then enter it in a web browser address bar to open the Embedded Web Server. Click the Web Services tab to turn on the feature.

Go to Turning On Web Services for more information.

  4. Send an ePrint job. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Check ePrint email and print job requirements

Confirm your HP ePrint job is set up properly and the attachment is a supported file type.

Example ePrint email

  1. Confirm the following ePrint email requirements.

    • Enter only the printer email address in the 'To' field: Multiple email addresses might cancel the print job.

    • Add text in the 'Subject' field: A blank subject field might cancel the print job.

    • Attach no more than 10 items to the email: The total size of the email, including attachments, must be 10 MB or less.

  2. Confirm your attached file is compatible.

    • Photos: Photo files must be GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP, or TIFF, and have a horizontal and vertical resolution of 100 pixels or higher.

    • Documents: Document files must be PDF, HTML, TXT, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel. ePrint cannot print digitally signed, encrypted, or password protected documents.

  3. Confirm the sending email account has ePrint access. Sign into HP Connected, click My Printers, and then confirm the correct email addresses are listed under ePrint Access.

  4. Confirm the ePrint settings match your print job preferences.

    • Default print settings: By default, ePrint prints one single-sided color printout in the same orientation as the original. Documents print on letter or A4 paper and photos print on 101.6 x 152.4 mm (4 x 6 in) paper.

    • Custom print settings: Sign into HP Connected, click My Printers, and then select monochrome printing, plain or photo paper, and two-sided (duplex) printing under ePrint Preferences.

  5. Send an ePrint job. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot ePrint issues. Click Here

Note: Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat.

Hope this helps!

Take Care! 🙂
