Hello, i have a somewhat similar problem with my Envy Pro 6420. I resetted the printer due to a problem with E-Mail direct printing.  Hence, it was de-registered from Instant-Ink (i guess). Now I have a permanent E0 error code + orange light blinking [cartridges refused, not empty & original Inst-Ink HP ones] AND i cannot activate the WIFI so my printer stays offline. This prevents me from re-registering it on Instant-Ink. Tried to reboot with USB Cable connection, no succes. How can i get the WIFI activited to communicate at all again with my printer and get rid of the E0 code? A paper jam can be excluded. Thanks for your help!

Hi @Goudaspeed,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving an E0 error.

An E0 error indicates an unusable cartridge, try the steps in the document - Ink cartridge errors

Connect the printer using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (printers without a touchscreen)

Use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on your router to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Place the printer near the Wi-Fi router.

Put the printer in WPS connection mode.

Most printers without a touchscreen control panel: Press and hold the Wireless button for five seconds or until the wireless light starts to flash.

HP Deskjet 6000 and 6400, ENVY 6000 and 6400, and Tango printers: Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Power button on the back of the printer for five seconds until the blue bar flashes.

Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the router until the connection process begins.

Wait for the Wireless light or bar on the printer to stop flashing. The printer is now connected to the network.
