HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer

I bought #62 Black ink for this printer and the printer keeps telling me to uninstall the cartridge and re-install. I searched this topic and found the standard unplug the printer solution but that does nothing. halp

Hi @Chath79,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To remove and reinstall a cartridge in the HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer, follow these steps.

  • Turn on the printer: Press the power button to turn on the printer if it's not already on.
  • Open the cartridge access door: Locate the cartridge access door on the printer. It is usually on the top or front of the printer. Gently lift the door to open it.
  • Wait for the carriage to move: After opening the cartridge access door, the carriage (the part that holds the cartridges) should move to the center of the printer to allow you easy access to the cartridges. If the carriage doesn't move, wait for a few seconds or gently nudge it with your hand to prompt movement.
  • Remove the old cartridge: Find the cartridge you want to remove and press down gently on it until it clicks out of its slot. Pull the cartridge towards you to remove it from the printer.
  • Unpack the new cartridge: If you're installing a new cartridge, make sure to remove it from its packaging. Remove any protective tape or covering from the cartridge's contacts and nozzles.
  • Insert the new cartridge: Hold the new cartridge at a slight upward angle with the contacts facing the printer. Slide the cartridge into the appropriate slot until it clicks into place.
  • Close the cartridge access door: Once the new cartridge is securely installed, close the cartridge access door of the printer.
  • Check for alignment: Some printers may require an alignment process after installing a new cartridge. If prompted on the printer's display or through your computer, follow the instructions to perform the alignment.
  • Test the printer: To ensure everything is working correctly, print a test page. You can do this through your computer or by using the printer's control panel.

That's it! Your HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer should now be ready to print with the new cartridge installed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

the only options at that link are "support if you are an instant ink customer", "HP support community" (which is what this is i think) and "virtual assistant". none of those are support engineers
