Customer service is currently unavailable in my country, so I'm hoping I can get an answer before the morning here because I am planning on buying a new printer tomorrow if I can't get an answer.
I am meant to be recieving a replacement printer from HP, but I have noticed that my model is now discontinued and there's a delay in my replacement.
Does anyone know what happens when they can't get a replacement sent out?

Have you received any notification that the replacement printer has been shipped? If so I would check the tracking information for the shipment. If not, and my business depended on having a printer tomorrow, I would buy one and then ask HP to send me ink/toner (or a gift certificate for supplies) for the new printer rather than sending the replacement printer.
Note - I do not work for HP and have no experience dealing with HP Support outside the US....

The practice may depend on your country. In the US HP typically offers a similar or upgraded model for warranty replacement if the original model is unavailable. You will need to contact your HP Support folks for a specific answer. What countrry are you located in?

The Netherlands. I was about 15 minutes too late to ask customer service this question, but I work form home and desperately need a new printer by tomorrow (the replacement was originally meant to come today).

Thank you. No shipping confirmation, but I will contact customer support in the morning to see if I am able to request some kind of compensation instead of the new printer. I will be buying the model that has replaced the discontinued one so I doubt this would be an issue.
