When installing a new HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 on a Win 10 PC the installation stopped 1/2 way "through. The screen on the Printer shows "The Device is Configuring the Printer" "Joined the Network" & " Web Services enabled" . There is a ? on the left hand side of the Screen . Nothing else.

I have downloaded the Full software package and drivers for the set up also tried online trouble shooting and much else

I have removed the drivers at root level and reinstalled all to no avail.

I think i need to reset the Printer to Factory settings and start again but without any Menu "Buttons" on the Printer i can only turn it off and On

So How do i reset the Printer ? and is this the answer?

@Charlie7173,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Let's restore the printer to the network defaults and then run the Wireless setup wizard to connect to the printer to the network.

To restore the printer to the original network settings
1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the
Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
2. Touch Network Setup.
3. Touch Restore Network Settings.
A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
4. Touch Yes.

5. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the
Dashboard. Touch (Wireless) or (Ethernet) to display the network status screen. Touch Print
Details to print the network configuration page

Now perform a Network power drain. Follow the steps below:

Turn off all the devices connected on your network including the PC, Smartphones, printer, modem (if present) and router. Make sure all the devices in the network are turned off / unplugged.
Wait for 2-3 minutes.
Now turn on the modem if present. Wait till all the lights are steady and idle.
Then turn on the router. Again wait for a couple of minutes so that the lights are all steady.
Then turn on the PC and other devices.

In the next step would be to run the Wireless setup wizard to connect the printer back to the network.

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the
Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless).
2. Touch ( Settings ).
3. Touch Wireless Settings.
4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
5. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
