due to some network problem i tried to network reset my printer (wireless + cancel button) the printer was reset but when i tried to add it on the network again it just show ssid not found but checking the wireless information the ssid was detected so i tried to access ews to manually add my wireless network . well i did forgot my ews username/password since i last accessed it is almost a year ago. did tried most default username/password combination still having no luck on that.

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

Try to connect the printer using the USB cable.

 

Once the printer is connected with the USB. Then, Change from a USB connection to a wireless network.

sadly did try that method but this always shows up

i could select my own ssid and type the passkey but this error always shows up since.

 

since i've chnaged my ews password and locked some features, might be the cause of it.

 

that's why i'm asking on how to reset the embedded web server password

Press the Wireless button and the Information button (i) together to run the wireless test.

 

And let me the test results.

 

If the wireless functionality fails this could be a hardware issue.

did found my ssid on the list even it was hidden but couldn't connect with it

Perform network reset on the printer once again and try to connect the printer back to the network.

Try connecting the printer to a different network and check if it works.

 

If the issue persists, I would personally suggest you contact our HP Support for one on one interaction. 

 

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

 

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Step 2. Sign in / sign in as a guest

Step 3. Enter the product number or select to auto detect

Step 4. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 5. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.
