I searched this forum and the internet for a solution to why printed colors are different than those shown in an application (pdf, doc, etc) or webpage.  I was doing all the right things; HP cartridges, uninstall/reinstall device and drivers, reboot, etc.  but none of the solutions offered worked for me.

Finally, I tried selecting a different Print Processor  (Printers & Scanners > select your device > Manage > Prnter Properties > Advanced Tab > Print Processor).  I switched from hpzppw71 to winprint.  That solved the problem for me.

Hi,

Print a Self Tese report to evaluate teh hardware / cartridges print quality:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-d2300-printer-series/1841737/document/c01296418

Can you see the exact same colors as shown by the included sample or is there any specific missing or wrong color?

The self-test printed exactly as the sample in the hyperlink; as expected.  All previous self-tests printed correctly also.  The problem is not with the printer.  As stated in my earlier post, I resolved the problem by switching which software processor Windows 10  uses for interpreting data being sent to the printer.
