I cleared the paper jam, but can't clear the blinking light... not able to print. I tried disconnecting from power for 60 seconds already.

Hi @Alyn55,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet Pro M15w printer is still showing a blinking light even after clearing the paper jam and doing a power reset, here’s what we recommend based on your situation and macOS 14.0 Sonoma:

Fix: Blinking Light After Paper Jam on HP LaserJet Pro M15w

1. Check for Remaining Paper or Debris

Even a tiny scrap of paper can trigger the error:

  • Open the toner cartridge access door.
  • Remove the toner cartridge.
  • Use a flashlight to inspect the paper path and rollers.
  • Remove any visible debris or paper scraps.

2. Close All Doors Properly

The Attention light may blink if the front door isn’t fully closed:

  • Open and firmly close the toner cartridge door.
  • Make sure it clicks into place.

3. Reset the Printer Again

Sometimes a false jam error persists:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in directly to a wall outlet (not a surge protector).
  • Turn it on and wait for the lights to stabilize.

4. Check for Toner Cartridge Issues

If the cartridge is not seated properly, the printer may not reset:

  • Remove and reinsert the toner cartridge.
  • Make sure it’s firmly seated.

5. Try Printing a Self-Test Page

This helps confirm if the printer is functional:

  • Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button (the one with the triangle) for 5 seconds.
  • The printer should print a configuration page.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
