@von_roon, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Have you tried printing from a different application?

Try the steps recommended below to print in reverse order from your printer.

Click the Advanced tab in Printing Preferences.
Expand the Document Options entry.
Expand the Layout Options entry.
In the Page Order: drop-down menu, select Back to Front.
Click OK.

If you can’t find a reverse print order toggle in the printer’s Preferences or in the application’s Print dialog, simply enter your desired page range in reverse order in the Print dialog’s Page Range. For example, if you’re printing pages 1 to 8 of a document, enter “8-1” as below, then click Print:

Clipboard01

If the issue persists, try uninstalling the printer software from the root level and install the full-featured printer software-

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.

Download and install the full feature printer software from here.

Let me know the outcome.

Cheers 🙂

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have noticed that if an application has "reverse order" within it, & I check it,  it will always work. I'm trying to get this printer to print everything in reverse order without relying on an option within an app. The bigger question here is why the option under "layout" doesn't work. Why even have the option there if it doesn't work?. Can't the software team figure that out?.  Not meaning to sound unappreciative here, just frustrated at having to do a workaround when a simple fix by HP would end the problem. (My old K80Xi does it perfectly all the time just by selecting the option)

But on to the workaround options. I will probably use your suggestion to reverse the numbers in the "Page Range" option for now. Unloading & reloading the software is nothing I wish to encounter except as a last resort. I'll hold out for HP to make the option in Layout work as it should. If you do issue a fix for this will it come to me automatically?. I haven't received any  notices that any updates for this model are available yet. Then again, I only have had it for 2 weeks.

Thanks again for your attention, it is appreciated.

I understand. Thank you so much for your feedback, will put it across to the R&D team and see how we can get this issue addressed.

You can use the workaround for now, if there are any updates you will receive a notification on the printer itself.

To check for updates follow the steps below:

  1. From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch the ePrint icon ().

  2. Wait for the printer to connect to the ePrint server. The ePrint status displays.

  3. Touch Settings on the bottom left corner of the screen.

  4. Touch Printer Update, and then touch Check for Update Now.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Cheers:)

Thanks for your acknowledgement of the problem & for passing on to the boys in the boiler room. Also, it was nice of you to send instructions as to how to get any current fixes or updates for my model. Unfortunately, the instructions must be for a different model other than my 9015. I'll explain:

There is no "ePrint icon" on my home screen. (as described in step 1) Regardless of which icon I do touch, all I see are 2 buttons, Jobs & Info.  Never saw any settings in bottom left corner under any circumstances. (as described in step 3).

Just thought I'd pass it along.

Bob M.

Below is the picture of the control panel-

. Setup: Displays the setup screen to change preferences, network setup, Wi-Fi Direct, fax setup, maintenance settings, and print reports.

2./ Wireless/Ethernet icon: The Wireless icon opens the Wireless Summary menu to check wireless status and change wireless settings. You can print a wireless test report to help diagnose network connection issues. If there is no network connection, the Wireless icon displays by default.

3. HP ePrint icon: Opens the Web Services Summary menu to check ePrint status details, change ePrint settings, or print a Web Services Information page.

4. Wi-Fi Direct icon: Opens the Wi-Fi Direct menu to turn on or off HP wireless direct printing and display the wireless direct name and password.

5. Ink icon: Displays estimated ink levels by ink cartridge. The icon displays a warning symbol if the ink level is less than the minimum expected ink level.

6. Fax status icon: Displays status information for the Auto Answer function, fax logs, and the fax sound volume.

7. Eco icon: Opens the Eco menu where you can configure some of the printer's environmental features.

8. Smart Task button: Provides access to the frequently used tasks. Use the HP Smart app to create and save the list.

9. Copy button: Opens the Copy menu to copy a document, photo, or ID card.

10. Scan button: Opens the Scan menu to scan to a computer or change scan settings.

11. Photo button: Opens the Photo menu to print a photo or manage print jobs.

12. Fax button: Opens the Fax menu to set up faxing, send a fax, or reprint received fax.

13. Apps button: Provides access to the apps for the printer.

I have highlighted the e-print option. pointer 3

Hope this answers your question.

Cheers 🙂

You have to be the most patient person on the planet so here we go again:

The ePrint icon as pictured in your post of 4-29 is different from what you designate as the ePrint icon in your pic in your latest post.

That was 4-29 post pic.

Below is the picture of the control panel- currently of my 9015 model.

Assuming the icon design ( for #3 which you have highlighted) might have changed I continued to follow your instructions to check for printer updates.

  1. Wait for the printer to connect to the ePrint server. The ePrint status displays. No status displays just the 2 buttons "Jobs & Info".

  2. Touch Settings on the bottom left corner of the screen. No settings are on the bottom left of the screen.

  3. Touch Printer Update, and then touch Check for Update Now. No such option exists. So I went up to top of screen & touched the settings wheel & many other options appeared for various setups, maintenance, reports, etc.

So on we go. If I'm missing something, please don't hesitate to tell me I'm an idiot. It won't be the first time!!.

Regards,

Bob M.

With respect to updating the printer firmware, you can use this link(Use steps 2 and 3). This will help you get the updates for your printer.

For changing the page order, try the following steps under printing preferences-
