Three things to check:
1. Are your DNS settings on the network card of the printer correct?
2. Are you using a FQDN name or IP address for the SMTP server? If using IP address, has the IP address of the server changed?
3. Are your gateway settings on the printer correct? Wrong gateway will prevent the printer from finding the server.
