HP Smart Tank 581 All-in-One Printer

So recently my HP printer started turning off quickly just after I turn on it and in the printer display I can see the animation of the number zero circling around and the WiFi button blinking and if I wait a few more seconds then it will turn on again automatically and then turns off, it just repeats the same thing. I have already seek the help of HP Support just 4 days before and I got the printer back today,  they said the issue was fixed but I can still face the same problem now... So if anyone knows what is causing this problem kindly tell me a solution for this. Thank You!

Hi @sj-sanay,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

This looks like a hardware issue.

However, try updating the firmware if not done already. Click here

Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.

Check energy saving settings (optional)

  • HP printers are designed to reduce power consumption by powering off when the printer is not active. When you are ready to use the printer again, press the power button to turn the printer back on.
  • Check the Schedule On and Off or Auto Power Off setting in the Setup menu on printers with a control panel display. Or use following steps to access the setting through the HP Smart app.
  • Open the HP Smart app, and then select your printer on the home screen.
  • If you do not have the HP Smart app, download it from 123.hp.com.
  • Click Printer Settings > Advanced settings.
  • Click the Settings tab, click Power Management, and then enter the printer PIN if prompted to review settings information and options.
  • NOTE:
  • Depending on your printer, the auto-off setting is preset and cannot be changed.

Reset the printer

  • Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
  • Press the power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer to complete the reset.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
