HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer

A family member purchased a new HP printer, and somehow they wound up on a site that had a chat pop up that directed them to Sapphire Softech.  There are several other posts here in the community that reference this exact thing happening.  However, I can't figure out what site had the popup.  Everyone that has posted essentially just claims "I was on an HP site".  And the "answers" have all been along the lines of "here are tips to avoid scams" and "we'll private message you for more info".  Can someone please let me know what is actually being done to prevent the scam of a company?  At very least, can I know what site(s) are posing as HP support but are actually Sapphire?  Hopefully it'll help someone else down the line, and I can use it as a teaching moment for my family member.

HP does what they can, but these companies sprout new websites constantly and it can be almost impossible to shut them down unless HP can prove they are fraudulently representing themselves.
