Scanner froze. now have the message listed. Unplugged printer and reconnected. same message.

Hello berniece, 

 

Please try the below steps .

 

  1. While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
  2. Restart the PC.
  3. If the Printer is connected in a Wireless network, then power off the Router for 10 seconds and then power it ON.
  4. Connect the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet and then to back of the printer. If printer does not power ON automatically, then press the ON button to do so.
  5. Now try scanning. It sould work.

Did not work for me on 276dw, alas. Had high hopes as others seemed to have success on other machines. Thanks for the solution though

It does not help. I tried a few hours. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.0 do not help as well. Also tried to close HP task in task manager. Tried hard.

 

Please give other alternatives.
