Setting the language on an Envy 4500

I am a Contractor working in Japan (Yokosuka). I need a printer/scanner and found the Envy 4500 at a local electronics store. The salesmen tell me (I think), that the Envy will come with a Japaneese Manual and be set up for Japaneese only. I see I can download a English manual and would like to purchase the 4500 all-in-one. If I do, will I be able to change the language to English when I set it up? And, will the on-line manual be the same?

Hello, 

To change language on the printer perform the below mentioned steps.

• Touch SETTINGS, then
• Touch PREFERENCES, then
• Touch LANGUAGE, then select the language of your choice.
• and then press on OK.

To access the manuals in Japanase language, perform the below steps.

• log on to www.hp.com
• On top click on Support > Download Drivers.
• Type in "ENVY 4500" in search box and then click on GO. Select the printer from the list.
• Now click on "User guides", then select the language of your choice.
• You shiuld be able to download the manuals in Japanese.
• OR click the below URL to access the page for manuals.

I don't want a Japaneese Manual... I'm American. The printer comes in Japaneese. I need to know if I will be given an option to change it to English during set-up as I don't read Japaneese. I will download the English version of the User Manual, but only IF I can get it to English at power-up

Yes, the pritner would prompt you to change the language and country during first time setup.

cannot find  (settings) (preferences) buttons to fix th incorrect language I have. Please I am desperate.  If they are in the language screen I have no idea what it says.   Please help
