under the Network IP: It reads "Cable Disconnected" I have tried everything I know to set up the static IP address on my HP laserjet but it does not seem to register. I went through the network set up and manually enter the IP address, I went through all the steps and when I got back to the main screen Network still shows "Cable Disconnected" How can I fix this problem?
I am trying to set up my printer wireless but I am not able to do so until I get my printer in the network. Please HELP!

The M401DN is not a wireless printer. It requires a network cable plugged into it from either a network switch or your router. The message you are getting indicates that the printer is not detecting any signal on the network port. This can be caused by no cable being attached, a defective cable or faulty or damaged connectors. There is also a small chance that the printer may not be compatible or has issues negotiating communication with your server. In some cases changing the the network speed from autonegotiate to 100 duplex will solve issues.
