Hi. I've just spent a couple of hours trying to get my new printer set up and connected to my network and the internet. Maybe I'm not good with technology but it was a nightmare! Anyway, it's all up and running and I've signed up for Instant Ink. With my old printer I used to turn it off when not in use. Should I turn the HP printer off or is it likely to mess up my network and internet connectivity? I guess it will only use a tiny amount of power as it will probably go into some sort of sleep mode. Cheers. Bruce.

In general, leave the printer alone now that it is set up.
- Leave the printer "on" - it will sleep soon after it is not in use.
- The printer may occasionally wake up to take care of self-maintenance tasks.
- The Web Services connection to the internet is necessary to monitor your Instant Ink Print-by-Page subscription - leave your router on when you leave for holiday.

You are welcome.
Suggestion...
When you have some time, do read (at the very least, take a look at) the User Guide for your printer.
What is the printer trying to say??
These little printers lack an actual full display - much of what the printer can tell you will be presented in "codes" and lights.
For example,
Control panel lights and display icon status - starts on Page 8
The definitions for "error" codes start on Page 97
Good Luck.
Stay Safe.
