Product: Office jet pro 8620
I removed original HP ink that was defective and took it back. Now I have the inkjet (Office jet pro 8620) without any ink catridges installed. The printer says not to turn it off so that it does not get damaged but I will be away for a week and want to turn the printer off. Will I cause any damage if it do?

Hi,
I would highly reccomend avoiding from turning the printer off with no ink cartridges installed, a such may highly risk and damage the printhead and cause print quality issues.
You may find page 96 of its user guide below, a such is not reccomended:

I suggest getting a replacement cartridges or keeping the printer powered on.
Regards,
Shlomi
