Hi @Ravenelld
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet printer is showing as "offline" after moving to a new location, here are some steps you can take to get it connected again:
1. Check Connections:
- Ensure that the printer is properly plugged in and powered on.
- If using a USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi (if using a wireless connection):
- Go to the printer's control panel and access the Settings or Network menu.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard to search for and connect to your new Wi-Fi network. Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted.
3. Set as Default Printer:
- On your computer, go to Devices and Printers (or Printers & Scanners in Windows 10/11).
- Right-click on your HP DeskJet and select Set as Default Printer.
4. Check Printer Status:
- In the same menu, right-click your printer and select See what's printing. If you see documents stuck in the queue, select them and choose Cancel to clear the queue.
5. Restart Devices:
- Restart your printer, computer, and router. This can help reset the connection.
6. Update Drivers:
- Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
7. Disable Use Printer Offline:
- In the printer settings on your computer, ensure the "Use Printer Offline" option is not checked.
8. Use the HP Smart App:
- If you haven’t already, consider downloading the HP Smart app. It can help you set up and manage your printer more easily.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
