Product: HP ENVY 4525 All-in-One Printer

I have black cartridges on order to replace the empty HP version that has just run out.  The tri-colour cartirdge is more than half full so my Envy 4525 should be able to print in single-cartridge mode to get us over the next few days.

 

The screen on the printer says it is in S-C mode and when we run the HP Print and Scan diagnostic tool, the test page prints fine.  I just cannot print anything from my PC in Word or Excel which is the only thing I actually need to do!

 

We have already done:

- power lead out and back in

- reset printer to factory settings

- re-added the Wifi details etc

- even uninstalled all HP printer software and re-installed and done the full set-up again

 

Thoughts most welcome please
