Printing any Adobe product especially pdfs is a frustratinly SLOW process, often up to 10 minutes after hitting the Print button! Printing has been markedly slower with High Sierra. I have downloaded the latest drivers. Any ideas on how to speed things up?

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Do you have the same issue while making a photocopy?

Does this happen with all the documents or just PDF?

Have you tried printing using a different (PC or phone)?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue from the link: https://hp.care/2tFTZOL

Step 1: Reset the printer

Step 2: Check the print driver settings

Step 3: Uninstall the print driver

Step 4: Reinstall the print driver

Step 5: Update the printer firmware

Step 6: Check the network status (wired and wireless connections only)

Let me know how that pans out

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,

Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Thank you. I downloaded the updated drivers, again, and that fixed the problem.

I have had this same problem for the last couple years and haven't found a solution that works yet. I unplugged for 60 seconds, plugged back in, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, and the problem persists. PDFs take FOREVER to print. This is incredibly frustrating when I'm printing docs for a meeting and it causes me to run late. On a side note, I have to print all copies in color, as when black and white is checked, the copies end up with lines going through them.

And my avatar says student (?), but I am a self-employed business person.
