Hi @WSD5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

The blue light on your HP Smart Tank 7602 printer indicates that it is connected to a wireless network. While this light cannot be turned off manually, you can disable the wireless connection to turn off the light when the printer is not in use.

Let's try these steps.

Disable Wi-Fi on the Printer

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Wi-Fi button (or Wireless icon) until the light goes off.
  • This action will disable the wireless connection, turning off the blue light.

Enable Sleep Mode

  • Ensure that sleep mode is configured on the printer. This will automatically reduce energy use and may turn off non-essential lights.
  • Check the printer’s settings for sleep mode under Settings > Preferences > Power Management.

Power Off the Printer

  • If you do not need the printer to stay on standby, you can turn it off completely using the power button.
  • This ensures that the printer is not consuming unnecessary power when not in use.

Use the HP Smart App to Manage Wireless Settings

  • Open the HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device.
  • Navigate to the Printer Settings and disable wireless functionality or turn off the printer remotely.

Reconnect When Needed

  • When you're ready to use the printer again, simply press the Wi-Fi button to reconnect it to your network. The blue light will turn back on when the connection is re-established.

Update the firmware. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
