The printer has simply stopped working

It shows no errors but all printing jobs show waiting

Changed paper hard reset.   Nothing works

Is this the worst printer HP have ever produced?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

@Dafydd65, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Smart tank 7005!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Since you’ve already done a hard reset and checked the paper, let’s try a couple of things that often help:

Check Printer Status: On your computer, go to Devices and Printers, right-click on your Smart Tank 7005, and make sure it’s set as default and not paused or offline.

Clear the Print Queue: Still in Devices and Printers, right-click your printer > See what’s printing > Cancel all documents.

Restart Print Spooler (Windows):

Press Windows + R, type services.msc

Find Print Spooler, right-click and hit Restart

Try HP Smart App: Sometimes re-adding the printer via HP Smart refreshes communication and clears any ghost commands.

You're definitely not alone in this—tech can act up in the most mysterious ways, but we’ll get it sorted.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
