Today when printing the print stopped after half a page and decide that my printer software needed an update.
After updating, the printer connects to my wifi but can't be found on the network. The HP software says 'The device is on your network but the network software is unable to find it using the typical discovery method. you can install the device and operate it over the network using the IP address.'
I'd rather not use an ip address which keeps changing.
I've tried continuing the network installation but it never completes.
I can get to the printer web page with the ip address but the wireless setup wizard requires a secure connection. As it's on my local network it doesn't have one!!!
I've added the printer with Windows but thats not really acceptable because I now can't scan. Webscan says 'You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. To turn on Webscan, from the Settings tab, click Security, click Administrator Settings, select Enable for Webscan, and then click Apply.
When I try this is it says - You are being redirected to a secure HTTPS-enabled version of this page.
Note: The web browser might display a message about the security certificate or connection being invalid. If so, follow the instructions to accept the certificate or connection.
I'm not given an option to accept the certificate or connection.
I'm a bit peeved that a software update has resulted in a working printer now not working.

Hi,
Reboot your router, allow it several minutes till the internet connection restores and then restart the printer, then try reinstalling the HP Software and check for any change.
If the same persists, type your printer's IP into the browser and select the Wireless tab.
Under Wireless select IPv4 and set a Static IP address, click the Suggest an IP Address button and save the changes, then reinstall the HP software and check, if the same error persists select to install by IP after setting the manual IP address.
