Like others I noticed my HP printer has started printing in Black/White only? I found this somewhere and made a note of it as it's the only solution that actually works. The HP driver has been broken for years, yet they refuse to fix it, I didn't want to mess arouind with installing old drivers etc so do this:- (Fully tested that colour printing has returned)

Windows/Settings/Devices/Printers & Scanners + click HP Envy 5540 printer on right + Manage/Printer properties/Advanced/Driver=Microsoft IPP Class Driver + click ok

Your printer will now be renamed to "Microsoft IPP Class Driver" but at least it will work properly.

I noticed I had one pc that still printed colour running v40.11.1119.1786, but my laptop running  v40.15.1230.21319 = b&w
