Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the error code 0x61011bec on your HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer typically indicates an issue with the printhead or a jammed carriage. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the error:
Step 1: Power Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Check if the error persists.
Step 2: Clear Paper Jams
- Open the printer's access door to inspect the inside for any paper jams or obstructions.
- Remove any stuck paper or debris.
- Ensure the carriage (the part that holds the printhead) can move freely by sliding it gently from left to right.
Step 3: Reseat the Printhead
- Open the printer's access door to access the cartridges.
- Remove all cartridges and place them on a clean, lint-free cloth.
- Lift the latch on the printhead assembly and gently remove the printhead.
- Inspect the printhead for any visible damage or ink buildup.
- Reinsert the printhead securely and lock the latch.
- Reinstall the cartridges.
Step 4: Perform a Hard Reset
- With the printer turned on, unplug it from the power source without turning it off.
- Wait for 1-2 minutes.
- Reconnect the printer to the power source and turn it on.
Step 5: Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check if your printer firmware is up to date.
- Download the latest firmware update for your model from the HP support website.
- Install the firmware using the instructions provided.
Step 6: Clean the Printhead
- Use the printer's control panel to perform a printhead cleaning.
- Navigate to Setup > Tools > Clean Printhead.
- Allow the cleaning cycle to complete and print a test page.
Step 7: Factory Reset (Optional)
- Access the Setup menu on the printer's control panel.
- Look for Tools or Printer Maintenance options.
- Select Restore Factory Defaults or a similar option.
I hope this helps.
