Someone put an Instaprint account on my HP 5252 Inkjet printer and I can't print anything. I don't know whose account it is. I want my printer back. How to I remove Instaprint account? I called HP Technical Support and was told the printer wasn't under warranty and I'd be charged $199 for assistance. Well, the printer isn't worth $199 so that's a no starter.

The only references I can find for an application of that name is out of Egypt - an app for printing from your phone.

HP Support typically only allows case submission of In-Warranty repair requests.

Not sure who you contacted --

True - being charged $200 for removing an account for an installed application is not something you want to do.

IF you are actually referring to the HP Instant Ink subscription service, that is entirely different.

HP Instant Ink is a subscription -- one that you must sign up for -- it is a contract for service.
