I recently started having a printer spooling issue. It takes so long to spool to print. I took it to Best Buy and they do not diagnose this problem.
I picked up my PC from Best Buy today and now when I try to print from Excel or Word, it just circles and states that Excel or Word are not responding.
We can print fine from our phones and ipads. There has to be an issue with the PC.
Any suggestions?

Hi @Diane-B,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with print spooler for your Printer.
Follow the steps below to clear the print spooler:
Press “Windows key” + “r” to get the “Run” window.
Type "services.msc" to get Services – Go to “Print spooler” – Right-click and “Stop” the service.
Now again open "Run" - Type “spool” and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.
Go to services again - Start the print spooler.
Now check for issue resolution.
Update the printer firmware by clicking on this link and let me know if that resolves the issue.
Please install all the pending updates for the Windows operating system following the below steps.
go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, download and install it.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
