I needed some ink for an Officejet Pro 8710 and couldn't remember the cartridge number. When I got to Staples, I told them the name of the printer and they searched it in the system and gave me a 52 XL. When I got to work, I opened the ink pqckage. To my sirprise,  the cartridge did not fit. It only accepted 50 or 50 XL. Because the packaging for the ink is now opened, Staples won't accept a return. Perhaps I shouldn't have opened the box before checking and did my due diligence in research, but now I'm down 45 dollars on a cartridge I have no use for. What exactly can I do? Is there an exchange or refund I can do through HP? Thanks for any help.
