Im have trouble with my A4 photo printing....every photo comes out with a 10-15mm white boarder on the right hand side....which is the final end that comes out, after printing.
It seems to me that the paper isn’t being fed through quick enough....and so isn’t printing on all the paper.
ive just wasted 40 A4 prints.... and a lot of ink

The border on the right side of the print may be the result of the print settings.
or
Ideally, the shape of the image will match the shape of the paper on which the image is to be printed (Aspect Ratio).
If the image does not match the paper, you can use print settings to "fill" the page, print the image at "actual size" (which may result in odd borders if the image shape and paper shape do not match), or edit the shape of the photo (crop) before it is printed.
The level of control depends on the software you are using to print the image / photo / document.

Mobile Printing
Print from your Android, iOS, or Amazon Fire device with the HP Mobile printing app.
- HP Printers - Mobile Printing Solutions Compatible with HP Printers
- HP Printers - Using the HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS)
- Select Printers: HP Printers - Print Anywhere with the HP Smart App
Open HP Smart
Select the file to print > Print > Settings (horizontal lines with intersecting circles in the upper right corner)
Select "Resize" = Original, Fit to Page, Fill Page
If you need additional print settings to fit the image to the paper, you will likely need a photo printing application that allows / supports more than the basics (Original, Fit to Page, Fill Page).

Thank you for replying.... I’ve just been printing directly from my phone and iPad.... wasn’t too sure how to access the printers settings and the settings menu on the printer itself are basic.
i will try this.... I’m confident that this solution will work.
Thanks again

You are welcome.
Hopefully, the simplest solution will work ("fill" page).
Although I have not used such tools for a while (two iPads ago), I did at one time have some rather excellent photo editing software installed (on iPad) - I did have to pay for the application; software of this type is not free. Not sure any of these tools would be useful on the tiny phone screen; it might be useful to look for software you could use on the iPad.
Happy Printing.

As for editing software for iOS.....photoshop have an app (photoshop express) it free and no in app purchasing.....but it’s also limited.....it has the erase tool...which is all I need.
once again thanks for all your help, it’s much appreciated.

You are welcome.
Excellent outcome.
I've used Photoshop Express - nice app, and yes, somewhat limited.
Wait for it...
Just checked my favorite search engine - Photoshop, if it has not yet done so, is releasing a "real" Photoshop application for iPad this year (2019). Gotta love Photoshop for its versatility - I have an older version of the software on my PC.
Happy Printing.
