Printer Streaks at top and down through the center of the page on print outs

This defect will be either a toner cartridge or a transfer belt issue. If the streaks are a single color, start by removing the corresponding toner cartridge and examine the drum unit (blue green roller on bottom) for any debris or defects that match the print out. If the defect is multi-colored then it is probably an issue with the transfer belt. Open the front door, remove all cartridges and examine the mylar belt that runs under the toner cartridges. Do not touch the belt with bare hands as skin oils even from a casual touch can create new defects. In some cases a bit of paper from a jam will get stuck  under the edge of the belt so pay close attention to both ends and gently remove any paper debris found, trying not to touch the  belt.  Be cautious with sharp objects as the belt is easy to damage.
