Hi @WeimMom04,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Vertical streaks in color documents can be frustrating. Since you've already tried cleaning and aligning the printheads, here are a few more steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your color ink cartridges are not low or empty. Even if you recently replaced them, it's worth checking again.
Inspect Cartridges: Remove the ink cartridges and check for any protective tape or packaging that might still be on them. Also, make sure the cartridges are seated properly.
Run a Print Quality Diagnostic: Most printers have a built-in diagnostic tool that can help identify and fix print quality issues. Look for this option in the printer's settings or use the HP Smart app.
Clean the Printhead Manually: Since automatic cleaning didn’t work, you might need to clean the printhead manually. Follow these steps:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the ink cartridges.
- Gently clean the printhead with a lint-free cloth or paper towel dampened with warm water. Be careful not to use too much water, as it can damage the printhead.
- Allow the printhead to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridges.
Check for Software Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve print quality issues.
Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Non-HP cartridges might not work as well or could cause issues. If you're not using genuine HP cartridges, try replacing them with originals.
Print a Cleaning Page: Some printers have an option to print a cleaning page, which can help clear any residual ink or debris from the printhead.
Perform a Deep Clean: If available, use the printer's deep cleaning function from the maintenance menu. This is more intensive than the standard cleaning.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
