I got a message to basically reboot my printer. So, I did, and now it will not go past the Printing alignment page...the wheel keeps spinning. I tried shutting both printer and computer off and unplugging everything. When it turns on it says I have to sign up for the ink program to use my ink cartridges. I am already signed up. I hit the continue and it goes back into the spinning nonstop alignment message

I read a post from someone who said the bought ink cartridges from the store and removed the instant ink cartridges to fix this issue. I realized I recently received 3 new color cartridges a week or so ago. I popped out the old ones and inserted the 3 new color cartridges and bingo, my printer is working again! So, the problem was my Instant Ink needed to be replaced. In the future I will change them as soon as new ones get shipped to me.

I had this exact same issue and once I switched the ink tanks this was resolved. There is zero communication about this from HP, this is no way to get people to join instant ink if you basically cripple the printers for simply not switching out as soon as received. I was contemplating purchasing another printer or at least a tech support call since it is out of warranty, which is totally ridiculous now knowing it was simply the ink tank switch that was needed. Get this fixed HP, this was a lot of wasted time for a really simple issue!
