Took update to printer software last week, now it will not recognize my 3rd party ink cartridges that were working fine for 9+ months prior to the update. Have gone to HP support and told to buy new HP cartridges for $475 - that was the only advisement from support. Spent most of my work day researching online only to find this is a typical HP move - firmware update that negates any non-HP ink. Despite work arounds from 2016, 2017 and 2018 similar situations - there is nothing that has fixed my worthless, 9 month old HP laserjet printer. My ability to work is greatly impacted and need help!

Dynamic security enabled printer. This Firmware includes dynamic security measures, which may prevent supplies with non-HP chips or circuitry from working now or in the future. More at: www.hp.com/go/learnaboutsupplies.
To use your printer with a 3rd party supply you will need to downgrade the latest firmware to the previous one.
I know how to do it, but HP probably wont be happy to tell you how. If you are tech savvy un google around a bit you can find the solution.
