HP Smart get prompting me to upgrade my printer to the latest firmware. After doing the upgrade I'm unable to print. I keep getting Memory Supply Error. I tried removing all the cartridges and resetting them in position. I cleaned the contact as much as I could. Nothing helps. I use HP cartridges to ensure I have no compatibility problems. I just bought a new black too so it's not because it is old. The is very frustrating that I had a perfectly working printer and because of HP firmware update, it is now broken. Of course, my warranty just ran out so I cannot have any support.
Is there anything I can do like downgrading the firmware?

The latest firmware of your printer blocks any 3rd party supplies. You only have 2 options :
1. Buy original HP toners
2. Search the web or this forum how to downgrade your printers firmware to July 2020 version.
This forum now is full if this issue. HP now does this.

It's working now that I've downgraded my firmware. I'm pretty sure there's an issue with their firmware. My toners are genuine HP.
It's really not Ok to leave everyone stranded and not even offering a warning when upgrading. That's a very anti-consumer way of doing business. I permanently uninstalled their "HP Smart" software and this is the last printer I'll ever buy from HP. They lost my trust and will not buy their product anymore. I have 2 HP Laptops at home you can be sure those are also the last I'll ever buy. from HP.
