I recently replaced all of the ink cartridges of my HP printer and am getting a "Supply System Problem" error that lists the black K color cartridge having an issue that will not be recognized. I have replaced all of the ink cartridges with brand new ink and the three colors all register just fine, just not the black one. I have tried a different black ink cartridge and it does the same thing. I have done a hard restart, updated all firmware options available and manually reset the printheads twice now as well as powered down, unplugged fully and restarted etc. I have been all over the forums here and tried each of the different solutions to no avail. The printer is barely used, so I'm at a loss on what to do at this point so I can actually use the printer. Any help or additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this point!

Hi @Crimson14,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Ensure Proper Cartridge Installation:
- Gently remove and then reinsert the black ink cartridge to ensure it is seated correctly. Make sure it clicks into place.
Check for Compatibility:
- Ensure that you are using the correct black cartridge for your printer model. Check the cartridge packaging for compatibility information specific to the OfficeJet Pro 9010 Series.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and in the printer. Be careful not to touch the nozzles.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the issue persists.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Go to the HP website or use the HP Smart app to check for the latest firmware updates for your printer model.
Try a New Cartridge:
- If possible, try using a different new black cartridge. It's possible the current one is faulty.
I hope this helps.
