Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have a T230 Plotter and loaded a new paper type: Premium Photo Paper Roll: Satin finish,72lb,24inch x 110 ft, which the vendor states should work with the T230 printer.

1. When I load my plain paper the printer is able to load easily without error.

2. When I load the new roll of Premium Photo Paper / Satin finish / 72lb the printer returns an error: "The printer cannot detect or load the media. Try using a different media and avoid transparent types of media".

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you for your help.

Specs for the T230 show it supports satin and clear media, so the general choice of media should work. There are two possibilities:

1. the surface finish is such that the line sensor does not detect the media.

2. the media is loose on the roll and causing feed issues.

Have you consulted the user guide for any possible special considerations when loading this type of media?
