THE PROBLEM REPEATED ITSELF 2 WEEKS LATER, & I WAS NEVER ABLE TO CLEAR THE PROBLEM. I ENDED UP THROWING THAT PRINTER AWAY, HAD A NEW SPARE AVAILABLE, BUT IT MALFUNCTIONED AFTER 3 WEEKS, TECHNICIAN COULD NOT REPAIR IT, BOUGHT A USED ONE ONLINE, WHICH HAD A BAD PRINTHEAD, SO I HAVE TAKEN 3 EXPENSIVE 7612s TO THE TRASH IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS. TO SAY I AM UPSET WITH HP WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!

It does no good for me to look up serial numbers; I have already taken all 3 Officejet 7612s to the trash/dump.  If you'll look up my previous problem msg, you will see what both of us wrote, which obviously did not solve the problem, long-range.  I subsequently spent an hour on the phone with your technical services lady (in the Phillippines) who determined (regarding my THIRD 7612, the one I bought used, online), that I had a bad printhead.  She told me that it was not possible to change the printhead--I suggested taking the printhead out of my almost new #2 7612 & installing it in my used #3 7612--because she said the printhead was "fixed;" i.e. not changeable.  I believed her.  BUT, I subsequently went on E-Bay & found there were all kinds of re-conditioned printheads available to buy, which obviously says they are NOT FIXED, & therefore, replaceable.  I suggest you get  your technical  people more educated on what is & is not possible.  The Phiillipine lady sent me an "Out of warranty voucher" as a result of my conversations with her.  I ordered a new HP 7605--including an extended warranty--which was delivered today, but still in the box.  However, there are absolutely NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE OR REDEEM THAT VOUCHER, OR GET THE REBATE OFFERED!!!!  Usual HP obfuscation; I AM PISSED @ HP, & after almost 40 years of buying HP printers exclusively for home & my company, unless you can give me some guidance on how to get my rebate, & some guarantees on getting support for that new 7605--should I need it--this will be MY LAST HP PRINTER.  Get that msg to your management!  This beating around the bush obfuscation is BS & has to stop!!!!  JPC
