I have a new Macbook Pro with the M1 chip and I'm running macOS Big Sur v 11.1. I just bought a Tango X and it was delivered today. I installed the HP smart app on both my iPhone (12 Pro Max) and my Macbook. I can print a PDF from my iPhone and choose color and it prints my document in color. When I try to print that same document from my Macbook, it prints only in black and white even though I have not chosen for it to be printed in grayscale and the grayscale box is not checked on PDFs. This is happening with both PDFs and Word documents and it's extremely frustrating. I tried to chat with someone online to fix it and they wanted to access my computer but the assistant wasn't understanding what I was asking and the chat window closed out, which I'm glad for. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Welcome to HP Support Community
Please ensure that the printer and Mac has the latest updates
Printer Firmware: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168
Mac update: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541
Next remove and re-add the printer using Airprint
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
6.) Try to print
