Hello,

I have an HP Tango X printer. Unfortunately, it is blinking yellow. The HP app detects my printer, but I can’t print anything. The app says I should contact you.

There is no paper jam, and I recently bought new ink cartridges.

Can you help me?

Thank you!

Hi @3DP65B,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The yellow/amber colored blinking light indicates an error with your instant ink, try these steps to fix it:

  1. First, print the information page by pressing the blinking button on your printer. This will print an HP Instant Ink diagnostic page. Check the page for any errors or instructions.

  2. Next, check your HP Instant Ink subscription. Go to the HP Instant Ink website, log in to your HP account, and look for any billing issues (like an expired card or payment failure), cartridge issues (sometimes HP Instant Ink cartridges need to be reactivated), and ensure your subscription is active.

  3. Then, remove and reinstall the HP Instant Ink cartridges. Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the ink cartridge area, remove the HP Instant Ink cartridges, wait 30 seconds, then reinstall them. Plug the printer back in, turn it on, and check if the yellow light stops blinking.

  4. After that, reset the HP Instant Ink connection. Open the HP Smart App, navigate to Printer Settings > HP Instant Ink, and follow any on-screen instructions to reconnect. If needed, remove and re-add your printer to HP Smart.

Let me know if this helps! 😊
