HP ENVY 7640
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

From the control panel on my laptop it shows the printer has a paper jam.  However, I can print test pages from the actual printer and make copies.  So there isn't a paper jam.  I turned the power off and waited at least 2 minutes.  Not fixed!

Clicking "restart" on the laptop power menu finally cleared the 'false paper jam error' message (from my HP psc1315 printer) after a day of working through all the HP and forum suggestions and turning the system down and shutting off the power strip overnight didn't work.
