I have a Photosmart C4480 connected to my Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 10. I have to go through HP Print and Scan Doctor every time I want to print (which I've gotten used to), however just recently when printing the test page while in Print Doctor, it no longer prints out the multi-colored test page, but it prints only solid black which takes up one-fourth of the entire page. This is causing me to run through ink at 3 times the rate I typically have in the past. Any ideas of what is causing the black solid when printing test page in HP Print Doctor. I'm not aware of anything that I did to change the process.

Hi @kb2019,
I'd like to help!
To better assist you -
1) Are you able to make color copies?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -
-
Load letter, A4, or Legal unused plain white paper into the input tray.
-
Press and hold the Cancel (
) button and then press the Start Copy Color (
) button.
The product prints a self-test report, which might indicate the source of the printing problem.
Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am not sure exactly what changed, but I was able to print several documents today without incident. I did disconnect the power cord and had it restart when it wouldn’t print initially. But it looks like I am good to go. Thank you for your assistance!
