Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Although I have uploaded the Application Manager when I try to configure the printer as a wireless printer, I receive a message "Application Manager not available". I tried to download the firewall and I still get this message. It should be noted that this printer works wirelessly with a laptop I have. Another thing I would like to note is that the computer worked wireless until about a week ago and suddenly stopped working (I may have made updates to the operating system this week).
I would love to help me solve this problem.

@HAIM1, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that you're unable to configure the printer on your Windows PC, let us try to isolate and resolve the issue. Follow the steps below-

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program. It will automatically diagnose and fix any printer connectivity issues.

For more information, go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/printscandoctor

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2) Select your HP Printer

3) Select Uninstall

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”

😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10) Select Ok

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12) Close Devices and Printers.

Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Firstly, I thank you for your reply and hope that you will continue to guide me to the solution

The first steps I did but without results so I moved on to the next step delete the driver and root level and retry and in apps and features I have only HP SMART and nothing else. Do you mean it or do Ido not know where to find what you want to download. About the printer I see it but the USB connection and at the same time I see the same printer that does not work wirelessly (It says that the driver is not available).

When I log in with the command printui.exe /s and from there to the printer drivers I see a long line of drivers such as x64 fax deskjet 4640 series and x64 deskjet 4640 series  and x64 deskjet 4640 series cla and x86 microsoft enhanced point and x64 microsoft ipp class driver and x64 microsoft print to pdf and x64 microsoft softwere printer and x64 microsoft xps documentand and  x64 send microsoft onenot
Do I have to delete them all?

Thanks for replying!

Yes, delete the ones with the printer name and I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers after the uninstallation is complete.. Follow the steps below:

•    Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.

•    When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.

•    Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help.

Keep me posted.

HI

I apologize in advance for the many questions, I ask them to be sure I understand correctly and will not make mistakes.
So if I understood correctly you say download the HP SMART and delete the drivers ones with the printer name that is all those starting with X64 HP DESKJET SERIES ? the others that start with X64 MICROSOFT....  I don't know if they belong to the printer and do they download them too?
And one last question. I have one printer Can the same printer be configured with a USB connection and at the same time as a wireless printer? And whether while I want to set it as a wireless printer the USB connection can remain or should I disconnect it and connect it, if so, after setting up the printer as wireless?
Many  Meny thanks

@HAIM1

Happy to help. You are free to ask ay number fo questions 🙂

1.) Delete software that's related to the HP printer only. The other drivers are built-in and it has no impact on your printing/scanning features.

2.) Yes, the same printer can be set up as USB and Wireless. When you want to print wireless, disconnect USB.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

You write to me to download only the microsoft softwe related to the printer but unfortunately I do not know what is related to the printer from the ones I wrote to you. I would be happy if you write to me what is related to the printer and which i should download.
You may not have noticed that I also asked if i should downloaded the HP SMART?
I hope that in your answer to the above questions I will follow through and let you know if the problem is resolved.
Many thanks

The ones which have HP in the name are listed as HP drivers, delete them and you can leave the other as it is.

Yes, you can download and install the HP Smart App. Refer to the document HP Printers - Install and Use the HP Smart App for help.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
