The printer is not physically printing. The Printer queue says it is printing, but no output.

@Jutara, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

If your HP Envy 6165e printer shows that it's printing in the queue but no pages are coming out, here are some steps to help resolve the issue:

Restart Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Shut down your computer.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then plug the printer back in and power it on.
  • Restart your computer and try printing again.

Clear the Print Queue

  • On Windows:
    • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Find Print Spooler, right-click and choose Stop.
    • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files in this folder.
    • Go back to services.msc, right-click Print Spooler, and choose Start.
  • On macOS:
    • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select your printer and click Open Print Queue.
    • Cancel all jobs and restart the printer.
