Welcome to the HP Community --

Assuming for the moment that everything else works, for example, the printer can print on regular paper,

the issue might be the result of...

The paper - Make sure the paper size, type, and weight are supported by the printer.

Product Specifications for the HP Smart Tank 515 Wireless All-in-One (1TJ09A)

Section Paper Handling

The paper - Make sure the paper, that is, your sheets of label paper, are for an Ink-Jet printer.

What?  Laser paper won't work and "fit for all printers" paper might produce odd results.

and

Matte labels might print more easily than "glossy".

The Settings - Make sure both the printer and the application / program settings are in agreement (as much as possible) about the paper type.

==================================================

Reload the paper according to the instructions in the User Guide  - Starting on Page 23

Next,

EWS > HP Document / How-to

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section How do I manually assign an IP address to my printer?  Items 1-2

EWS – Tray and Paper Management

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

Tray and Paper – Paper Size / Paper Type / Paper Weight

Reminder

HP Smart Mobile might require that paper size / type is rechecked / adjusted before the content is opened for print.

Paper Size, Type, and Weight loaded in the printer tray must be supported for use in that tray.

EWS provides access and control to check / adjust Tray and Paper Settings.

Notes

Depending on the printer model, the Printer Control Panel might provide access to Paper Size / Type settings immediately after the paper is (re)loaded into the appropriate printer intake tray.

Trays

  • If the printer lacks a second tray, all paper / types are supported in the single available tray.
  • Printers that include a Photo Tray generally restrict the paper sizes and paper type supported in that tray.

Dear,
Thank you for reaching out, the problem is in the printing of the text, when printing, the outcome is the text where the words of the text show as only outlines, the inside of the words should be black they are white.

You are welcome.

Understood.

The answer is based on the printing on the specific label paper and / or issues with printing labels.

Perhaps you are having trouble printing documents on regular paper --

If yes, the source of the issue might be elsewhere - for example, Print Quality

Go here...

Category Troubleshooting > Topic Print > Sub-Topic Print Quality

Known solutions:

HP Smart Tank 500 printers - Color or black ink not printing, other print quality issues

What else?

If the issue is limited to the label paper,

If the concerns about paper type, paper print surface, and other "paper" issues have been addressed,

If the printer is otherwise able to print on regular paper as expected,

Try a different font when creating and printing your labels.

What else?

You could also try reloading / installing the Full Feature Software.

====================================

Printer - Printer Software - Windows

HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts.  The full driver generally adds at least two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant and HP Scan.

NOTES

  • HP Scan is not installed if the printer does not support Scan
  • If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, the software supports the setup and use of the Fax driver. No Sign-in required.
