Deskjet 460 WBT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've recently bought a Deskjet 460 WBT portable printer and I'm trying to install it.

According to the site

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-460-mobile-printer-series/466639

Installing Your Printer Driver Using the Windows Built-in Solution

Install the HP Printer Driver and Software provided within your operating system.

But after "installation" the result is clear:

"The driver is unavailable"

It seems that Windows 10 64 bits has deleted this printer drivers

I've tried installing Vista 64 bits drivers, without success. Any ideas?

Hi,
Please follow below steps to resolve such an error:

**Be aware that if you have other printers installed on your PC, those will need to be reinstalled too once completing these steps.

1. Uninstall the HP Software from your PC.
2. Backup your registry prior making any registry changes:
     https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03485724
3. Update your registry using the Reg file below (that will change some printer related policies for your PC):
     https://www.dropbox.com/s/avbv56zdgwv7600/kernel.reg?dl=1
4. Right click the Start menu and select Run.
     Type Services.msc and press OK.
Locate and stop the Print Spooler service
5. Browse to c:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers.
     Rename W32X86 to W32x86.old
     Rename x64 to x64.old
Note: if any of these folders fail to rename reboot your PC and then Continue following the steps starting from Step 4...
6. Restart your computer.
7. Reinstall the printer drivers using the Built-In solution as included in your post above.

Please let me know the results,
Shlomi

By the way, with USB connection it works. It just does not work through BT adapter.

Ok, that makes much difference.

Do you have the latest BT drivers installed on your computer? a such might be crucial..

Are you able to pair the device from the BT menu of your PC or do you get any specific error?
