Hi @pratomorone

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The flashing blue light on your HP Envy 4520 printer generally indicates a Wi-Fi connection issue, or that the printer is in setup mode or trying to connect to a network. Here's how you can address this issue and get it to stop flashing:

1. Check Wi-Fi Connection

The flashing blue light typically means that the printer is having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi network. Follow these steps to resolve it:

A. Ensure the Printer is Connected to Wi-Fi:

  • Press the Wi-Fi button (on the printer’s control panel) to check if it’s trying to connect to a network.
  • The blue light should be steady (not flashing) once the printer is successfully connected.

B. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

If the blue light is flashing, the printer may have lost its Wi-Fi connection. You can reconnect it by performing the following steps:

  1. Press the Wi-Fi button and hold it until the light starts flashing.
  2. The printer will now try to find your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Select your Wi-Fi network (you may need to enter your Wi-Fi password on the printer's control panel).
  4. After successful connection, the blue light should stop flashing and remain steady.

C. Reset Printer Network Settings:

If you're unable to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi, you can try resetting the printer's network settings:

  1. On the printer, hold the Wi-Fi and cancel buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds.
  2. This will reset the network settings and allow you to reconnect the printer to your network from scratch.

After resetting, follow the steps to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi by selecting the correct network and entering the password again.

2. Check for Ongoing Jobs in the Print Queue

  • Sometimes, the flashing light could be related to a print job stuck in the queue or an ongoing task.
  • Clear the print queue on your computer by opening Devices and Printers (on Windows) or Printers & Scanners (on Mac).
  • Cancel any pending or stuck print jobs to resolve the issue.

3. Check for Firmware Updates

If there are any known issues with your printer’s firmware, a firmware update could resolve the issue:

  1. Open the HP Smart app (if you’re using it) on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Check for any available updates for your printer and apply them.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
